Prior to entering the NSW Legislative Council in February 2005, Greg Donnelly was a full-time official of the Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees’ Association NSW Branch. He is the Chair of Portfolio Committee No. 2 - Health and Deputy Chair of the Standing Committee on Law and Justice. He is also a member of the Regulation Committee, Privileges Committee, and the Committee on Children and Young People. He has served on a number of Select Committees including the Select Committee on Human Trafficking in New South Wales and the Joint Select Committee on the Anti-Discrimination Amendment (Religious Freedoms and Equality) Bill 2020. He has served on a number of NSW Labor policy committees including Australia and the World, Health, Education, Employment and Industrial Relations and Social Justice and Legal Affairs. Greg’s policy areas of interest include family and life issues, children and young people, employment and workplace relations, occupational health and safety, human rights, biotechnology, palliative care and education.
