Ivan Oransky, MD, is co-founder of the MacArthur Foundation-funded Retraction Watch, and vice president and global editorial director of MedPage Today. He teaches medical journalism at New York University's Science, Health, and Environmental Reporting Program, and is vice president of the Association of Health Care Journalists.
In the past, Oransky has been executive editor of Reuters Health, managing editor, online, of Scientific American, and deputy editor of The Scientist.
Oransky earned his bachelor's degree at Harvard University, where he was executive editor of The Harvard Crimson, and earned his M.D. at the New York University of School of Medicine, where he holds an appointment as clinical assistant professor of medicine.
