Philip Di Salvo was born in 1987. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Literature from the University of Milan and a Master's degree in Communication Sciences from the Università della Svizzera italiana, Switzerland. Currently, he is a PhD Candidate at the same faculty. His fields of research are digital whistleblowing, investigative and digital journalism. He works for the European Journalism Observatory as a web editor. As a journalist, he writes for the Italian Wired magazine.
