As dozens of African leaders met in May 2013 in the Ethiopian capital to mark 50 years since the founding of the African Union, one of the pressing items on the agenda was the call for the Hague-based International Criminal Court to drop crimes-against-humanity charges against Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta. Five years after the election violence that led to the indictments, the call for justice may no longer be as popular and unanimous as it once was.
