Kirk Cameron may not be an A-list American actor but he talked a lot of sense when Piers Morgan interviewed him on his CNN chat show last week. Morgan asked Cameron what he thought about gay marriage and got sensible and principled answers which contrasted with Morgan’s rather superficial so-many-people-want-it-then-it-must-be-right approach.
Cameron began his acting in childnood as Mike Seaver on the television situation comedy Growing Pains (1985–1992). More recently he appeared in the films Like Father Like Son, Listen to Me and as Cameron “Buck” Williams in the Left Behind film series – and Caleb Holt in the 2008 drama film, Fireproof.
Cameron is married to fellow Growing Pains star Chelsea Noble. They have six children, four of whom were adopted.
