Why can we not remember our dreams after we wake up in the morning?  According to Susana’s Mexican grandmother, the chili pepper eating Dream Stealer snatches them during the night, and although he is only supposed to take the nightmares, he sometimes takes the happy dreams too.  Determined to get her happy dream back, Susana tricks the Dream Stealer and in the process teaches him to have the courage to face the monsters found in dreams.  This book can be read to younger children.
