You don’t have to love (appreciate, or even understand) American style football to enjoy the beauty of this.

After one of the best Super Bowls ever, its glow and joy is still lingering, beyond the borders of New Orleans or Louisiana. Okay, maybe not as much in Indianapolis…..

It was America’s feel good story. A great game, two great teams well matched executing exciting plays and suspenseful all the way to the end. And when it ended the way it did, and the blizzard of confetti blew around the stadium and swirled around Drew Brees, and I saw him on camera holding his baby son, and focusing on that child as much as on the excitement around him, having covered the boy’s ears protectively so he wouldn’t be afraid of the noise, there was this perfect moment. And I thought ‘this is what it’s all about’, and ‘this (along with masterful execution of plays and a great team effort all around) is why he (they) won.’ And I captured that moment and committed it to memory.

Thanks so much to the photographer who captured it for posterity.

From every angle.
